Dr. Scott Pendleton
Veterinarian
Dr. Pendleton graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He purchased the former Cadiz Animal Clinic in February 1993 and built the new clinic that became Heritage Veterinary Care in 2019.
Dr. Pendleton is very active in veterinary medicine, serving as president of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association from 2015-2016, sits on the OVMA board, is delegate from Ohio to the AVMA and is a member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board.
His hobbies include history, stamp collecting, hiking and bird watching. Dr. Pendleton has also been accumulating retirement projects such as a 1900 horse drawn hearse that needs restored. He has always been committed to communtiy service and has served many local organizations over the years. He and his wife Donna have been married 31 years and have two children, 3 dogs, 3 donkeys and 3 horses (one that is blind in one eye and deaf in both ears)!
Dr. Aimee Clay
Veterinarian
Dr. Aimee Clay is a 2013 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Clay received her Bachelor of Science from Kent State University in 2009. Prior to working at the former Cadiz Animal Clinic, she practiced for 4 years at Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic as a small animal practitioner. Her veterinary interests include ophthalmology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Clay is married to Nick Clay from Piedmont, Ohio. The Clay’s have two active and loving daughters, Cora and Ella. Their family also includes a Rottweiler named Matilda, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Lizzy and 2 Guinea Pigs named Popcorn & Rosie.
Dr. Samantha Borsos
Veterinarian
Dr. Samantha Borsos is a 2019 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Borsos received her Bachelor of Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2015. She is interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine and dermatology. Dr. Borsos and her fiance have a spoiled rescue cat Dobby, a hyperexcitable Lab Gus and a sweet elderly Beagle named Lilly!

Ginger has been with the clinic since 1994 and loves everything about veterinary services and the clients and patients that come along with, many of whom have become friends. Ginger and her husband Jeff live in Cadiz with their three dogs (Faith, Ace & Piper) and an orange tabby cat named Rudy! In her spare time Ginger enjoys spending time with her 3 grandsons: Oliver, Waylon and Jack! She also enjoys traveling, camping and scrapbooking.
Brianne Kuryn

Brianne is part of our Management Team and has worked with us for 10+ years. She lives in Hopedale with her husband Mark and 2 daughters, Avri & Amelia. They have 4 cats Tripp, Hadley, Sage and Mario. When Brianne is not at work she enjoys cooking, shopping, traveling and spending time with family and friends!

Jody Carter

Jody is one of our front office customer service representatives. Jody grew up on a dairy farm in Bloomingdale and currently lives on a farm in Richmond where she and her husband have beef cattle, horses, mules, donkeys, miniature horses and 5 chickens (Ruby, Rosie Pop, Reba, Rozlyn and Roberta)! Jody also has 3 dogs (Tegan, Woody and Saige) 4 cats (Oliver, Hope, Donna & Lowell). Jody has worked in the veterinary field for over 20 years and in her spare time she likes to spend time with her animals and family!
Lexi Orr

Lexi lives in Jewett and is a graduate of Harrison Central. Lexi has been with us since July of 2020. She has two dogs, Maizie and Ruger and a cat named Tulsa. Lexi was a 9 year member of 4-H where she showed steers, hogs, goats, lambs and ducks. Lexi has a passion for all animals and enjoys spending her spare time in the barn or kayaking with her friends!
Crystal Carpenter

Crystal has worked various jobs in her years, but has always dreamed of working with animals! Crystal and her significant other have been together 27 years and have a daughter (who will soon be making them Grandparents) together and 2 fur babies. Conor is a 2 year old mixed breed, Claire is a 2 year old chihuahua mix. Crystal is very active in her community, loves gardening, cooking and hanging out with family and friends!

Allie joined us in 2022 as a CSR. Allie has a cat named Murray and lives near Piedmont. She attended Buckeye Trail High School where she was involved in cheer and dance. In her spare time Allie likes to spend time with friends, family, and Murray! She also likes to go golfing with her boyfriend and their friends!

Madi joined our staff in July of 2020 and lives in Steubenville with a Lab/Mastiff mix named Tucker and a Golden Retriever named Chip. Madi enjoys the beach, going on hikes with her pups and spending time with her friends and family.
Taylor Meyer RVT

Taylor is our newest Veterinary Nurse and lives outside of Amsterdam with her children Eiven and Maeslynn. Taylor has two cats, Bree Bree and Toffee, and two dogs, Mack & Mylie. They also have several chickens! In her spare time Taylor loves to go camping and fishing at Clendening Lake with her family!

Chelsea is one of our Veterinary Assistants and has been an employee since November of 2017. Chelsea lives outside of Adena with her husband Lance and their furry babies: Maya & Nakita which are Siberian Huskies, cats Linus, Nemo and Oliver James. In her off time Chelsea enjoys spending time with family and friends!

Kaylee is one of our veterinary assistants! Kaylee lives in the Jewett area with her Dad and her dog Tiny Mark! Kaylee was active in 4-H and loves to make our patients feel loved while she is here! Kaylee enjoys listening to music, watching movies and cleaning!
Cheyenne Jones
Veterinary Assistant
Cheyenne lives on a farm in Harrison County with her husband Zack. They have cattle and a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats. Cheyenne and Zack have 5 dogs (Casey, Willow, Mick, Denali, and Akela) and 2 cats (Bagheera and Lucy). Cheyenne was a 4-H member for 8 years and showed cattle, hogs, and sheep. In her free time, Cheyenne enjoys attending and still enjoys showing livestock and watching her husband pull his tractor “Survivor” at pulls.
Jaycie Butler

Jaycie grew up in Harrison County and has been in the veterinary field for 4 years. Jaycie joined our staff in 2021 and currently lives near Jewett with her boyfriend Logan and their dogs Rip & Maci. Jaycie also has a dog named Brinx! In her spare time Jaycie likes to attend concerts, swim, enjoy time with family and friends and do anything that has to do with outdoors!

Taylor joined our team in 2020. She grew up in Harrison County but currently lives in Unionport with her fiance Bryce. Taylor and Bryce have two rescue cats named Luna and Thomas. Taylor was an active 4-H member for 10 years and in her spare time enjoys camping, riding, swimming and spending time with friends and family.

Harleigh is from Hopedale and graduated from Indian Creek. Harleigh was a 13 year 4-H member and showed market lambs at state and county levels. Harleigh has an American Brittany named Kiya. In her free time Harleigh enjoys being in the show barn, working out and traveling to new places!

Blake joined our team in May 2023, grew up in Bloomingdale Ohio on a small beef farm, has one dog (Kevin) and four cats (Saturday, Sunday, Steven, and Glenn). Blake loves spending quality time with the pets and going on hikes with Mr. Kevin 🙂

Ellie joined the staff at Heritage this year and has been in the veterinary field for approximately 4 years. Ellie lives in Cadiz with her fiance Brandon and their daughter Brynleigh, along with German Shepherd Draco, German Shepherd Mix Mercie and a clan of cats! Ellie enjoys traveling and spending time with family!
