Dr. Scott Pendleton
Dr. Pendleton graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He purchased the former Cadiz Animal Clinic in February 1993. He is very active in organized veterinary medicine, serving as president of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association 2015-2016 and is currently represents Ohio in the AVMA. His hobbies include history, stamp collecting, hiking and bird watching. Dr.Pendleton is committed to community service and has served many local organizations over the years. He and his wife Donna have been married for 29 years and have two children, 3 dogs, 3 donkeys and a horse that is blind in one eye and deaf in both ears!
Dr. Aimee Clay
Dr. Aimee Clay is a 2013 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Vet. Dr. Clay received her Bachelor of Science from Kent State University in 2009. Prior to working at the former Cadiz Animal Clinic, she practiced for 4 years at Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic as a small animal practitioner. Her veterinary interests include ophthalmology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Clay is married to Nick Clay from Piedmont, Ohio. The Clay’s have two active and loving daughters, Cora and Ella. Their family also includes a Rottweiler named Matilda, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Gemmy, and Rosie a guinea pig!
Dr. Samantha Borsos
Dr. Samantha Borsos is a 2019 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Borsos received her Bachelor of Science from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2015. She is interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and dermatology. Dr. Borsos enjoys has a very spoiled rescue cat named Dobby who she enjoys bringing to work with her as much as she can.
Ginger has been with the clinic since 1994 and loves everything about veterinary services and the clients and patients that come along with, many of whom have become friends. Ginger and her husband Jeff live in Cadiz with their two dogs (Ace and Faith) and an orange tabby cat named Rudy! In her spare time Ginger enjoys spending time with her 3 grandsons: Oliver, Waylon and Jack, traveling, camping and scrapbooking.
Office Manager, Customer Service
Brianne manages our front office staff! She lives here in Hopedale with her husband Mark and 2 daughters, Avri and Amelia. Brianne has an orange tabby cat named Tripp, a grey tabby named Hadley and a spotted cat named Sage. She has been part of our team for many years. When Brianne is not at work she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends!
Lesley has been employed as a receptionist since October 2017. She has 2 daughters that have kept her busy with their equestrian activities for over 15 years. She currently has 11 horses, 2 boxer dogs, and 1 intrusive barn cat.
Jody is one of our front office customer service representatives. Jody grew up on a dairy farm in Bloomingdale and currently lives on a farm in Richmond where she and her fiance have beef cattle, horses, mules, donkeys and miniature horses. She also has five dogs: Shag, Tegan, Bentley, Woody & Molly and three cats: Oliver, Gracie and Hope. She has been in the veterinary field for 20 plus years! Jody says that helping animals is her passion! In her spare time Jody likes to spend time with her animals and family!
Mikayla Long, RVT
Mikayla is one of our Veterinary Nurses and joined our team in May of 2019. Some of Mikayla’s hobbies include: kayaking, hunting, fishing, riding ATV’s and spending time with her family. She currently lives outside of Hopedale with her husband Willis and their American Bulldog Moose!
Marissa Skiba, RVT
Marissa is a Veterinary Nurse that has been working in the field for 10 plus years. She has a passion for veterinary medicine! Marissa lives in St. Clairsville with her three cats: Addie, Daisy, and Charlie. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Columbus Blue Jackets. Marissa also enjoys trying new local breweries, spending time outdoors, and time with family and friends!
Rachel Kirkpatrick, RVT
Rachel is a Veterinary Nurse who has been working in the field since 2005. She also attended schooling to become a certified canine rehabilitation practitioner. Her passion is in canine rehabilitation. She enjoys kayaking and spending time with her family. Her best friend is a french bulldog named Sunny!
Ashley is a veterinary assistant at Heritage Veterinary Care. She lives in the East Springfield area with her husband Jeremy and son Luca. Ashley enjoys horseback riding, showing calves, fishing and spending time with her husband and son. They have 5 dogs (Kubota, Quasi, Charlie, Rocky & Remi ), 2 cats (Abby & Ziva), 5 horses, 2 goats some cows and a frog.
Chelsea is one of our Veterinary Assistants and has been an employee since November of 2017. Chelsea lives outside of Adena with her husband Lance and their furry babies: Maya & Nakita which are Siberian Huskies, cats Linus, Nemo and Oliver James. In her off time Chelsea enjoys cosmetology and spending time with family and friends!
Paige lives in St. Clairsville and has a French Bulldog/Mini Australian Shepherd named Rodeo that enjoys playing ball and likes to go riding with her. Paige has 2 horses (Lady and Rosco) that she runs in IBRA. Paige has a passion for all animals including her farm full of chickens, horses, goats and miniature Zebu! In her free time Paige likes to camp with friends and family.
Kaylee Wright is a Veterinary Assistant, and the newest member of our team. Kaylee lives in the Jewett area with her family including her two dogs, Katie Lynn an Australian Shepard, and Nick a Chihuahua mix!
Kaylee has been active in 4H throughout her life showing rabbits, goats, chickens, ducks, and dogs. She loves to make our patients feel loved and sweet-talk them while she is at work. Kaylee enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and cleaning!
Makayla joined our team in 2017 and has filled many positions throughout the clinic! Makayla is a graduate of Indian Creek and attended the JVS for Small Animal Science during her senior year. She was in 4-H for many years showing market steers and hogs. She has two dogs, Max and Cash that keep her on her toes! Makayla is now part of our front office staff but can many times be seen in a room helping with appointments. Makayla enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending truck pulls and babysitting. Makayla plans to continue her career here at the clinic where she can continue to express her love and care for animals!
Cheyenne lives on a farm in Harrison County with her husband Zack. They have cattle, a flock of sheep (Rough Ridge Club Lambs), and a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats. Cheyenne and Zack have 5 dogs (Casey, Willow, Mick, Denali, and Akela) and 2 cats (Bagheera and Lucy). Cheyenne was a 4-H member for 8 years and showed cattle, hogs, and sheep. In her free time, Cheyenne enjoys attending and still enjoys showing livestock and watching her husband pull his tractor “Survivor” at pulls.
Lexi lives in Jewett and is a graduate of Harrison Central. She has an Australian Shepherd (Ruger) and a Newfypoo ( Maizie). Lexi was a 9-year member of 4H where she showed steers, hogs, goats, lambs, and ducks. She has a passion for all animals and enjoys spending her spare time in the barn or kayaking with her friends.
Madi joined our staff in July of 2020. Madi lives in Steubenville with a lab/mastiff mix named Tucker and 8 rabbits! In her off time Madi enjoys helping in the church nursery and going on hikes with Tucker!
