Dr. Scott Pendleton
Dr. Pendleton graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He purchased the former Cadiz Animal Clinic in February 1993. He is very active in organized veterinary medicine, serving as president of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association 2015-2016. His hobbies include history, stamp collecting, hiking, and bird watching. Dr. Pendleton is committed to community service and has served many local organizations over the years. He and his wife Donna Pendleton have been married for 28 years and have two children.
Dr. Aimee Clay
Dr. Aimee Clay is a 2013 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Clay received her Bachelor of Science from Kent State University in 2009. Prior to working at the former Cadiz Animal Clinic, she practiced for 4 years at Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic as a small animal general practitioner. Her veterinary interests include ophthalmology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Clay is married to Nick Clay from Piedmont, Ohio an together they have a fun-loving daughter named Cora, and sweet baby Ella. Their family has added a Rottweiler named Matilda to their family who also keeps them busy! When she is not practicing medicine Dr. Clay enjoys spending time with her family hiking, kayaking, and practicing yoga.
Dr. Samantha Borsos
Dr. Samantha Borsos is a 2019 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Borsos received her Bachelor of Science from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2015. She is interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and dermatology. Dr. Borsos enjoys has a very spoiled rescue cat named Dobby who she enjoys bringing to work with her as much as she can.
Ginger is Hospital Administrator at Heritage Veterinary Care and has been with the clinic since 1994. Ginger and her husband Jeff live in Cadiz and have 2 dogs (Faith & Ace) and a cat named Rudy. In her free time, Ginger enjoys her grandchildren, scrapbooking and traveling to Virginia to stay in their RV.
Kara is our Practice Manager at Heritage Veterinary Care. Kara performed her internship hours with Dr. Pendleton at the former Cadiz Animal Clinic in 2006, and graduated from the Western School of Health and Business in 2007 with an associates degree in Animal Technology. Kara lives in Wintersville with her fiance Brad, and their two daughters Cambrie and Quinn. Along with her human family, she has two dogs, a mutt named Libby, and a chocolate lab named Darla, and also a cat named Wednesday. She enjoys traveling, camping, and being involved in her daughters’ extracurricular activities.
Customer Service Representative
Brianne is a receptionist at Heritage Veterinary Care. She lives in Cadiz with her 2 daughters, Avri and Amelia. Brianne has an orange tabby cat named Tripp and a grey tabby cat named Hadley. She has been a part of our team for 8+ years. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her girls and her friends.
Lesley has been employed as a receptionist since October 2017. She has 2 daughters that have kept her busy with their equestrian activities for over 15 years. She currently has 11 horses, 2 boxer dogs, and 1 intrusive barn cat.
Jody is one of our customer service representatives. Jody grew up on a dairy farm in Bloomingdale and currently lives on a farm in Richmond where she has beef cattle, horses, mules, donkeys, miniature horses and goats. She has been in the veterinary field for 20 plus years! Jody says that helping animals is her passion!
Rachel Kirkpatrick RVT
Rachel is a veterinary technician who has been working in the veterinarian field since 2005. Rachel has 2 dogs, a pitbull named Primus and a French bulldog named Sunny. She loves working with animals and would have more if she could afford them. She is waiting for her dogs to do something amazing so they can become rich and spend money doing fun things,(like retire early) and get more animals! Mikayla Long, RVT
Mikayla Long is one of our Veterinary Technicians. Mikayla joined our team in May of 2019. Some of her hobbies include being the Color Guard instructor for the Harrison Central Marching Band, hunting, fishing, ATV riding, and spending time with her family. She currently lives outside of Hopedale with her husband Willis and their American bulldog Moose!
Marissa Skiba, RVT
Marissa is a veterinary technician that has been in the field for 10+ years. She has a passion for veterinary medicine and is working on her Bachelor’s in Veterinary Technology. She lives in St. Clairsville with her four cats, Addie, Daisy, Charlie, and Tirion. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching The Cleveland Browns, The Cleveland Indians, and The Columbus Blue Jackets. Marissa also enjoys trying new local breweries, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying the outdoors.
Ashley is a veterinary assistant at Heritage Veterinary Care. She lives in the East Springfield area with her husband Jeremy and son Luca. Ashley enjoys horseback riding, showing calves, fishing and spending time with her husband and son. They have 5 dogs (Kubota, Quasi, Charlie, Rocky & Remi ), 2 cats (Abby & Ziva), 5 horses, 2 goats some cows and a frog.
Chelsea Rutter is a veterinary assistant and has been an employee since November 2017. Chelsea lives outside of Adena with her husband Lance and her 4 furry babies, Maya & Nikita which are Siberian Huskies a cat named Linus and their newest kitty, Nemo. In her off time, she enjoys photography, cosmetology and spending time with friends and family!
Paige Elizeus lives in St.Clairsville. She has a French Bulldog / Mini Australian Shepherd (Rodeo) that enjoys playing ball and likes to go riding horses with her. Paige also has 2 horses (Lady and Ransom) that she spends running in IBRA. Paige has a passion for all animals. She also enjoys spending summers camping with friends and family.
Kaylee Wright is a Veterinary Assistant, and the newest member of our team. Kaylee lives in the Jewett area with her family including her two dogs, Katie Lynn an Australian Shepard, and Nick a Chihuahua mix!
Kaylee has been active in 4H throughout her life showing rabbits, goats, chickens, ducks, and dogs. She loves to make our patients feel loved and sweet-talk them while she is at work. Kaylee enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and cleaning!
Makayla Marko joined our team in 2017 and has played many different roles throughout the clinic. Makayla is a graduate of Indian Creek and attended the JVS for Small Animal Science during her senior year. She was a 9 year member of 4-H where she showed market steer and market hogs. Makayla is now part of our customer service team, but started as an assistant and still jumps in and helps whereever she can. Makayla enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending truck pulls, and babysitting. Makayla plans to continue her career here at the clinic where she can express her love and care for animals.
Cheyenne joined our team most recently! She lives on a farm in Harrison County with her husband Zack. They have cattle and a flock of sheep (Rough Ridge Club Lambs) and a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats. Cheyenne and Zack have 5 dogs (Casey, Willow, Mick, Danali, and Akela) and 2 cats (Bagheera and Lucy). In her free time, Cheyenne enjoys attending and showing at livestock shows and watching her husband pull his tractor “Survivor” at contests.
Lexi lives in Jewett and is a graduate of Harrison Central. She has an Australian Shepherd (Ruger) and a Newfypoo ( Maizie). Lexi was a 9-year member of 4H where she showed steers, hogs, goats, lambs, and ducks. She has a passion for all animals and enjoys spending her spare time in the barn or kayaking with her friends.
